The other day in a post here about Hollywood nitwit, Spike Lee, my musings devolved to include the following paragraph:
Yes... just last week, the Obama Administration had to backtrack as Federal scientists (and we all know where they get their paychecks) announced that three quarters of the spilled oil is gone -- removed by various natural and/or artificial means. Most beaches are clear, although some marshes do remain fouled. Sea creatures are flourishing. The alarmists have been silenced. Hopefully, self-proclaimed oil industry "expert" and MSNBC frequentWell...guestpredictor of doom throughout the "disaster," Matt Simmons, has been shut-up once and for all (Simmons ominously warned that "methane from the well" was going to "kill millions of people" and also said repeatedly that the only way to get the runaway well stopped was with nuclear weapons, for crying out loud!).
My words about Simmons being "...shut-up once and for all..." have come to pass.
He died, totally unexpectedly, last Sunday night in Maine (a few hours after I made my post). News reports say that he accidentally drowned in his hot tub.
The left wing loons on the internet are cranking it up with all sorts of conspiracy theories about how Simmons was "silenced" or "murdered" by this "faction" or that "faction" for his comments about the Gulf of Mexico being "killed," his comments that BP hadn't really capped the blown well, and comments that BP was continuing to, with tacit government approval, deceive the public.
Good LORD...
A 67 year old man with a history of heart disease dies in his hot tub and the left-wing lunatics pounce on it as "proof" that Simmons angered the so-called "true" powers that be and "they" (whoever "they" might be) did a "Michael Corleone" to him...
Self-centered idiots...
Still...
Simmons dying within hours of me making a post that included a somewhat disparaging remark about him feels pretty weird, to say the least.
November or never.
